Water is the ultimate best thing to drink in any diet. Remember, 'DIET' does not mean to eat less, it only means what you eat regularly.

Healthy and Clear Skin

Lets face it. Clear skin is something we ALL want. Some of us have it, some of us don't, and the rest don't really know what it takes to get or keep it. I have found many similar regimes that all work and I trust in them faithfully. Lets start with complexion. Everybody has different skin tones and complexions. Some are dark, some are light, pale, smooth, rough, etc. Various regimes work for different skin types.

SKIN TYPES

For example, if you have naturally smooth skin and you have the occasional break out (as I do now and then), two of the best ways to get and keep a healthier skin tone are first, drink plenty of water, preferably bottled water (any brand will do), but if you have a water filter in your sink or a filter pitcher, then by all means, use it. I cannot stress enough how important it is to drink plenty of water, (at least) 6 to 8 glasses per day. An occasional soda is not going to kill you, but do not over do it! Second, start a diet that consist of plenty of fruits and veggies that are mostly water such as various bell peppers, celery, apples, oranges, carrots, cauliflower, and lettuce. Spinach, tomatoes and grapes will not hurt either. All these fruits and veggies are rich with natural water, vitamins and nutrients. With these fruits and veggies eat plenty of white meats that are grilled and not fried, or sauteed because fried or sauteed foods are loaded with unhealthy fats that can both clog pores and build up fat and nobody wants that. If you do choose to eat fried white meats, peal the skins off as fried chicken and fish has so much more of the unhealthy fats and greases are in the skins.

If you have rougher skin, you do not really need to scrub your face in the hopes of scraping the roughness off your face. Think of it as sand papering a rough, jagged piece of wood. even if you sand paper the wood, it will still be rough and jagged microscopically. Skin works in a different way thank any material as wood, brick, metal, etc. Human flesh is more soft, has blood vessels and nerves and natural oils under the surface that WILL be damaged after excessive heavy scrubbing. A reputable facial mask or facial scrub will help tremendously, just don't take the word 'scrub' literally. All you have to do is turn on warm water, splash your face a couple times to open up your pores, lightly apply the product onto your face and wipe it on until your face is covered in a thin and evenly layered film. Leave it on for the designated time stated on the labels, then splash your face again and wash the product off. As you dry your face, DO NOT wipe your face dry. pat dry your face as wiping will scrape off the nutrients applied to your face and may very well lightly damage your skin. Also the same diet mentioned above is recommended for rougher skin.

For either dry or oily skin, both heavy and light with blemishes, simply apply the same facial scrubs for you particular skin type and maintain the same diet mentioned above.

For EVERY skin type, still, drink lots of water 6 to 8 glasses per day. If you prefer bottled water, as I do, drink 4 to 6 bottles per day.

Two more very important keys to healthy and clear skin. These two keys are HIGHLY tricky, but none-the-less, they truly work for anybody. Key one is DON'T STRESS! Stress is the number one cause for unsightly breakouts, gray hairs and bags under your eyes. If someone tries to bring you down, ignore them. Brush them off because you know what? They are NOT better, higher nor more important than you are. The truth is, NOBODY is better, higher nor more important than you are. We are ALL equal to everybody else. We ALL bleed the same blood, breathe the same air, walk on the same Earth and live in the same time. They very people who try to bring you down are just hurting in some way and are trying to make themselves feel better by making others feel the same way they are. Stressing over other people will only ultimately harm you in many different ways. Fear not. Stress not and remain calm, cool, and collected.

Key two is rest. Try to get plenty of sleep. Trust me, nobody is too busy for rest. Rest is the gasoline or diesel that is needed to run our engines that drive us throughout our days... that and food. Get as much sleep as you can (within reason, of course). Find a comfortable pillow that will not bend the neck too harshly, will not be too firm nor too soft that you sink into it and suffocate. Trust me, oxygen is important too. Avoid smokey atmospheres. If you are a smoker, obviously STOP! If you are not healthy on the inside, how do you honestly think you can be healthy outside? think about that. Also a couple of helpful hints to lead you toward a better, healthier skin tone. Exercise, laughter, wash your hands constantly and try not to touch your face and germs are almost always carried on your hands.

Remember:

HEALTHY DIET - Plenty of fruits and veggies. Drink lots of water and tea.

REST - plenty of restful sleep is VERY important for everybody.

WASH HANDS - wash your hands constantly and avoid touching your face.

FACIAL SCRUB - Exfoliate and wash your face with the right product for your skin type.

DON'T STRESS - Be happy, cool, calm and collected at all times.

I hope this has been helpful. Peace and Love! =)
